| Abstract |
This data set contains fish species checklists for Maine lakes. The data are updated by MDIFW every 1-2 years. Data are derived from formal surveys, supplemented by additional sampling and incidental observations. Survey dates (and total number of surveys) vary among lakes, but this information is not provided in the data source. However, first and most recent survey dates are available in the MDIFW database (although not shown in this PEARL table). While abundance data are not available, MDIFW does assign a fisheries "importance" to each species. | |
